ProENTRY IV 4.00.0411 Beta #7

Changes in this version:

  • Resolved a problem populating Address Types upon initial startup of a new installation.
  • Resolved several problems inserting new Country records. Corrected a bug involving the postal code entry format. Additionally, fields completed automatically by ProENTRY in the Country update window based upon standard address formatting are now disabled to simplify new record creation and eliminate the introduction of errors (applicable to US and Canada).
  • Postal Code relation tree changes:
    • Drag and Drop support; available only to the licensed user, not dealers
    • Option to sort by postal code or city
    • Optional filtering capability on state or province, city, or postal code
    • Direct access to Postal Codes window is now available in both the Catalog and Order maintenance programs. From the top line menu, select Maintain, Postal Codes
    • Added import function for US zip codes. Canadian provinces will be added, but postal codes are not supported at this time due to data licensing and cost issues (approximate $400.00 US), but this is being investigated further.
  • Postal Code update window changes:
    • Corrected a bug enforcing the correct postal code entry format
    • Added a hyperlink to provide easy access to authoritative postal code information. The specific addresses may be edited in the Company update window, More tab’s
    • Added hyperlink to access a MapQuest map
    • Time Zone and Freight Zone are now optional
    • Added phone and email data to the Main Orders relation tree window.
  • Master catalog, hinging update window has been simplified to included references to only one parameter.
  • Product Planner Connections (.ext) export is complete, though not tested comprehensively.
    • In keeping with the spirit of First Order Technology™, the Schedule export window allows selection of complete orders, individual Spec-Groups, or individual products. Connections files generated earlier are included in this tree for easy reference.
    • Batch processing is supported including user named batches and control of .ext file naming employing the Order Number, database identity number, a system generated serial number, or the original ProENTRY 3 convention (yymmddXX.ext).
    • A Batch Manager window displays export batches in a relation tree with the associated .ext files as well as order and Spec-Group information. Deleting batches or individual .ext records here will remove the associated .ext files from the disk.
    • Integrated .ext file viewer window with search and print capability
    • The actual .ext file generator is completely new, inherits no code from ProENTRY 3, and is much more efficient.
  • Task bar icon was not being removed on shutdown; unique PMail icon displayed while unread mail exists.
  • Company Address update window:
    • Improved handling of “PO Box” to assure proper capitalization of “PO”
    • Added hyperlink to MapQuest
  • Catalog Configurator
program, added application main menu, Maintain, Companies, My Company to provide direct access to logged in operator’s Company update window
  • Revised background process which inserts and maintains the current operator’s Contact record and it’s relationship with the security database.
  • Name Title (Mr., Mrs., etc.) and Name Suffix (Jr., Sr., etc.) browse windows revised to improve edit in place support and enforce proper database integrity.
  • Main Orders relation tree window:
